Straight off the newest Lycan Dese Beats album that just dropped, "Dark Ascension" has an intriguing story as part of Exiark's upcoming album! Read more about it below! With ecstatic melodies giving way to otherworldly drops that Exiark knows the secret of, "Dark Ascension" strikes with heavy bass and delights as beautiful sound completes an expert use of samples! The "Give us time" vocal sample comes from a sample pack called Voices in the Dark, and it definitely spices up the track! As for its story and concept, without going into the full details of the whole upcoming album from Exiark that will include this song, it is about Luna finding back one of the missing fragments of her soul that got lost when Celestia used the Elements of Harmony against her. "One of the fragments, the one representing the evil side of her dark nature (Nightmares, Greed, Want and the endless gnaw for power) has been forcefully ripped apart and cast away. Luna cannot return to her homeworld with a shattered soul. She departs on a journey of self discovery to heal her own self and rediscover her true purpose. Both the lost fragment and Luna herself are in constant search for each other. The fragment knows it, but Luna doesn't. Due to its nature Luna has attempted to flee from it once she find it again but without use. They both ended up dragged by the gravitational pull of a singularity and are trapped inside. Within it, Luna manages to rediscover her dark nature that the Elements of Harmony have damaged. Part of the damage is healed, but not completely." Many effects at many different places and happening at different times! There's the glowing lights on top of those light orbs from the artwork, the stitched heart glowing in a different color, rays of light from the stitched heart, bubbles that appear at the moment when bubbles-sounding samples are playing in the song, a special animation during the "give us time" sample, and another special animation at the first drop! I also wanted to make particles appear in the background during the second half, but it would have taken too much time so I abandoned that idea. Still, I hope that you like all that I added! I do it because I want to pay tribute to the song and its story, but also because I love you all so very much and I want to do my best for you! Also yeah, about the artwork, I was first looking for a certain picture that I had in mind, with Luna finding some kind of "dark fragment" as per the story from Exiark, but after hours of searching and even after gathering our Art Division, I still couldn't find the picture that I had in mind!! But I found this one and I think it definitely fits the story a lot, especially the "shattered soul" and "heal her own self" parts! Hope you enjoy the cider everypony! Brohoof! /)
