In a disused corner of a sun-kissed room, a cello catches dust as its owner mulls over should haves and would haves in rich and ponderous b-flat minor. Regardless of anger or hurt feelings, regardless of whose fault it was, she knows she's about to lose something irreplaceable. She knows that with patience, understanding and perhaps two little words, there could still be a chance to reconcile. But time slowly burns bridges, and the days have been passing ruthlessly. If Octavia plans on keeping her DJ... ...she's going to have to run. The third movement of the Tavi and Scratch suite; exploring other forbidden genres and sounds! But don't worry, folks. We're approaching the home stretch for these two musical lovebirds. Keep rooting for them! Musically, I reintroduce a few themes from the previous movements, most particularly the 9 -- note theme which has become the sort of understated anthem for this pairing, the Tavi and Scratch theme if you will (it plays in the piano introduction and elsewhere in the DnB section). I really want to thank all of you veterans who have been so graciously putting up with my flirtations with electronic music. I suppose as jazz was a new and exciting sound for so many of you to discover, electronic music was for me. Don't worry, I'm not giving up the other genres, but Octavia and Scratch hold a special little place in my heart. I have to see this story to its conclusion, whatever that turns out to be, heh.
