First I'd like to apologize for taking so long with new songs, I've been quite busy with a lot of non-pony stuff this past year, I've done some traveling and had some changes in my personal life, so composing has been pretty down on the priority list most of the time. On top of that, I picked what turned out to be by far the most challenging song yet, and while I had fun creating it, the amount of work I had to put into it was maybe just a tad too much for me, so I'm considering making my next songs a little bit less complex from now on. Speaking of next songs, I already have plans for a Luna themed one so many of you have been asking for, so that should come out relatively soon. After that I hope there will be plenty of Season 4 songs or background music already to choose from. Oh, and i've also become obsessed with the new movie Frozen (It's really no wonder given my Tangled obsession few years back), so I might come up with something inspired by that too, or perhaps how would a musical MLP-Frozen crossover sound, hm? But back to The Return of Harmony. The song is inspired by multiple pieces of background music from the eponymous episode. Most notably by the final scene and credits theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvfA0SmqJOQ). And the "restoration of the elements" theme (http://youtu.be/H6g15JroPow?t=2m47s). Some bits of the arrangement are also inspired by Howard Shore's phenomenal score for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It just can't get much more epic than this, folks. Oh and I apologize for such an excessive use of a solo flute, but I just love the sound, so, yeah^^. And that's it for now, enjoy the rest of the holidays and see you next year!
