I chickened out... take it anyway... I joined the fandom back in December 2011, shortly after finishing my first semester of college. I was playing on my new smartphone and came across a page called "rules of the internet". I read through some of these "rules" and found a whole bunch of fan art and shit posts about these ponies. Confused, I decided to investigate and ended up watching the first episode to see what it was about. Then I watched another, and another, and another... I binged the entire first season over a period of 2 days, and caught up on the second season; I believe the latest episode at that time was the nightmare night episode. For a few days, I was VERY confused as to why I liked this show so much. Then I discovered bronies. The rest is history. There were a lot of rough times mentally/emotionally from then to now. I never have an easy time talking to people either, being very introverted and cripplingly anxious. But this show has always been a great pick-me-up, and has inspired me to better myself. This fandom's people always amaze me as well; being so kind and so happy is what everyone is about. And through rough times, everyone is always ready to help one another. It's one big happy international family. It's been a good chunk of my life this fandom. I know it will stick around for some time to come, but as for the show I needed to just let this out and say farewell. To every one of my friends in the fandom, love ya. Hope to hang out again sometime.
